just for clarification............ you can make nether fissure target itself with spell ricochet right? lol, just making sure so I dont look like an idiot in a couple of weeks

or you can change the target of nether fissure to spell ricochet, which will resolved already when fissure resolves, which fizzles because of the lack of target (i think)

You CANT make anything target itself while on the chain, including Nether Fissure.

But with Spell Ricochet, you make Nether Fissure target Spell Ricochet. Then Spell Ricochet resolves and goes away, and Nether Fissure fizzles (is interrupted "by the game".)

You may have to call a judge over, to convince your opponent this works. It also completely interrupts Mystic Denial; the ongoing part doesn't stick.

Spell Ricochet is really good anti-counter tech in block.
