World of Warcraft Miniatures Game
World Championship 2009 Scenarios Updated September 10, 2009
Constructed Portion
Format: Constructed, 3v3 Map: Ashenvale: Warsong Gulch
General Rules
The blue team must capture and return the blue flag. The red team must capture and return the red flag. The flag a team must capture matches the color of its spawn point circle.
As the game begins, each player puts a flag token on the space with his or her flag starting position (i.e. red player places the red flag token). You are guarding your opponent’s flag, which has a different color than your spawn point circle.
A non-pet character on or adjacent to its flag token (if that flag isn’t being carried) may pay [Tick] 1 to pick it up as an action. Put the flag token on that character’s card to show it’s carrying it. That flag token remains carried until it’s dropped or scored. Flags and flag tokens can’t be affected by game effects while on the board or while carried. Flags and flag tokens are not terrain and do not affect Line of Sight.
As a character carrying a flag token is destroyed or leaves play, that flag token is dropped in the space that character last occupied. That flag token remains in that space until it is picked up or returned.
A non-pet character on or adjacent to an opponent’s flag token (that isn’t being carried) may pay [Tick] 1 to return that flag token to its starting position.
When a character carrying a flag token stops moving (during its turn or not), if it’s on a printed spawn point controlled by its owner, that flag is scored. Its owner scores 7 VPs, and that flag token is returned to its starting position.
Scoring Summary
Score 7 VPs each time your flag is returned to your printed spawn point.
Score 4 VPs as each non-pet character an opponent owns is destroyed, as usual.
Special Scenario Rules
In this scenario, characters can’t teleport or “switch spaces.” If a replacement effect would teleport a character, the original event happens and isn’t replaced instead.
Special Scenario Specific Cards
Archmage Arugal Teleportation: If Arugal would make his natural move, he teleports up to 3 spaces instead.
In this scenario, Arugal doesn’t teleport but moves normally instead.
Breakthrough This character can move through or into enemy-occupied spaces this turn. When it does, teleport that enemy 1 space.
In this scenario, a Warrior can move through or into enemy-occupied spaces with Breakthrough. However, it can’t end its move in a space already occupied by another character, as usual.
Intervene Play only when an ally within range is targeted by an attack. ¶ This character switches spaces with that ally and becomes a defender instead.
In this scenario, a Warrior becomes the defender with Intervene, but it doesn’t switch spaces.
Razaani Nexus Stalker Warp Discharge [T2R1M4] (Arcane) [Crit]: Razaani Nexus Stalker may teleport 1 space. If he does, he may immediately play Warp Discharge without paying its [Tick] cost, targeting an enemy character who hasn’t been attacked this turn.
In this scenario, Razaani can’t teleport. As such, the “if you do” fails, and he can’t Warp Discharge with Warp Discharge’s crit
Slitherblade Tidehunter Relentless Harpoon [T2R2-4P4] (Ranged) [Crit]:
Slitherblade Tidehunter may teleport a defender adjacent to him. If he does, he may pay [T3] to immediately play Python Grab, targeting it.
In this scenario, Slitherblade can’t teleport a defender. As such, the “if you do” fails, and he can’t Python Grab with Relentless Harpoon’s crit.
“You, Too, Shall Serve!” Archmage Arugal Only Play only during ticks 6–10. ¶ End Arugal’s turn, gain control of target non-legendary enemy, and immediately take a turn with it. Both that enemy and Arugal pay its costs for the turn.
A character under another player’s control can’t do anything with flags that it couldn’t do while uncontrolled. Regardless of who controls a character, it may only pick up its owner’s flag and may only return flags of its owner’s opponent. If it’s already carrying a flag as control changes, it retains the flag.

The scenario for worlds is very intriguiging. I thought I'd open a post here to get some opinions flowing about it.
Personally I really think a Thrall team w/ Snowsong and maybe a swiftness pot. As a flag capper. Also I think Leeroy + Ixnamos is a posibility. I'd love to hear other opinions.
