Title: Multiple triggered ongoing abilities - Hear Murmur

704.2d If multiple triggered abilities would resolve simultaneously: • First, the turn player chooses the order in which any such abilities that affect his or her characters apply to each of those characters, and then the next player clockwise does the same, and so on. Multiple triggered abilities with the same name can’t affect the same character at the same time, nor can triggered abilities from multiple equipment or totems with the same name. |
Ok, so if you have 2 Bleakhearts adjacent to an enemy they can't both tick the enemy up. Meaning the most that enemy will tick is +1.
I'm talking to Edwin Teh, Slowmail, and he's getting back to me if you can roll twice or once. For instance, let's say you fail on the first can the other Bleakheart roll? He thinks no. I think yes because you aren't affected by heart murmur until you take +1 tick. He's going to get back with me.

So the same would be true of Moonshadow's heal then. I guess I was wrong or they changed the wording in the CR. Either way I am glad we have the correct ruling.

My understanding is that Moonshadow's buff is a triggered ability constantly looking for ticks 5 and 10 to trigger a heal.
Bleakheart's "Heart Murmur" isn't what effects the opposing mini like Moonshadow's does. Heart Murmur effects the Bleakheart being able to roll, once for each adjacent enemy, which I take to mean if you are adjacent to two minis, you roll two dice once, and any success = +1 tick up. so even if you roll 2 successes, it's still +1. I never thought you could roll once and then again if they are adjacent to two minis as the rules specifically say any rolls must be done all at the same time like that.
I think the difference though between moonshadow and bleakheart is that moonshadow's heal effects the minis, and heart mumur just triggers the bleakheart to roll and the effect is the tick up that hits the enemy. Since it doesn't have a name to it +1 tick up can be done twice to one mini if it has two bleakhearts next to it.
other than all that I'm fine, how are you guys? :-)

Add on...
"Multiple triggered abilities with the same name can’t affect the same character at the same time"
Since Heart Murmur isn't effecting an opposing mini, two bleakhearts next to one mini should tick them up two if both succeed since the murmur triggers the bleakheart to roll, with the resulting success ticking the adjacent enemy up one and a failure doing nothing. If the murmur said, tick up and adjacent enemy at the end of tick 5 and 10 (like automatically, not without rolls or anything), then yes, it wouldn't tick them up 2 since it's a named ongoing ability effcting the same mini twice.
Hopefully that makes sense if I'm saying it right.

The heart murmur ability triggers and upon a succesful roll affects an enemy the bleakheart was adjacent to. If there are multiple bleakhearts they trigger and resolve simultaneously, however an enemy character can only be affected by this effect once as per 704.2d.

It is the same as moonshadow's heal.
Remember heart mumur is still the source of the effect. So when you successfully roll and tick up the enemy heart murmur is the source of the effect and triggered abilities with the same name can only affect a character once at the same time.

All makes sense now. I think the only thing I wasn't aware of now is the update to his card text, that if a bleakheart has two enemies next to him, he heart murmurs for each one, rolling once for each adjacent enemy.
Thanks guys!

So you all know, the correct ruling is you only roll once when you have two hellcallers next to an adjacent enemy.
The result of that roll will stand.
The CR will be updated to reflect this more clearly.
